An opportunity exists for a Science, Physics, Engineering or Mathematics graduate to provide specialist support to the planning, execution, analysis and development of platform protection tactics in a modelling and simulation environment.

Working as part of a specialist team you will use modelling software to develop sensor-based tracking systems. The models will then be used to carry out sensor vulnerability analysis and counter measures development, following which you will provide advice to customers based on these results.

Responsibilities include the design and generation of models for simulating non-communications Radar, Electro-optic and Infrared systems, including missile seekers and other Electronic Warfare systems. The candidate must be a self-starter and shall be responsible for discrete tasks of specification,design, modelling, testing, validation, and analysis. You will be required to program a graphical simulation environment, utilising skills and experience in research, mathematical/scientific modelling and analysis.

MASS provides Electronic Warfare Operational Support services and solutions on a global scale, focused across the Land, Air and Maritime domains.

The candidate must be a highly motivated, enthusiastic and competent team player who can communicate clearly.
This position includes a requirement to travel in support of customer meetings.The position is part of a small team of analysts.
The candidate must be eligible for UK MoD clearance for access to the appropriate security level.

Mandatory Skill Requirements:

•Hold, or be prepared to undergo, UK security clearance.

Desirable Skill Requirements:
•Interest or experience in the use of modelling and simulation of complex control systems
•Knowledge of RF and /or IR sensor systems with an interest in developing knowledge related to defensive aids suites and countermeasures
•Interest, experience or knowledge of electronic warfare principles and air platform protection requirements

This role is a full time graduate placement (37.5 hours per week Monday -Friday), based in Lincoln. During your time as a graduate at MASS you will gain the skills necessary to become a Countermeasure/Simulation and Modelling engineer from a combination of on the job experience and training courses assupported by a structured graduate development scheme.
