We have a fantastic opportunity for an expert Level 3 Resolver to join our growing Flight Data Support team. This role will be our technical lead providing, primarily, Incident and Problem resolution on NATS' UK Air Traffic Management (ATM) Airspace Capacity Management applications. You will be ensuring that service resilience is maintained throughout the service lifecycle and continual service improvement is applied, specifically for Airspace Capacity Management applications. These air traffic controller facing applications will be used to expedite the safe movement over 7000 aircraft every day. As Technical Expert you will be responsible for supporting the Service Delivery Manager in delivering and operating a key national critical service supporting UK aviation.

Responsibilities:
Application of domain expert knowledge to assigned/escalated Incidents and Problems, prioritising, diagnosing and resolving them using agreed procedures resulting in restoration of service resilience.

Application of wider Air Traffic Management (ATM) domain experience will be applied to lead the resolution of complex, first of type incidents.This role provides operational expertise and guidance to applicable incident investigations. Accountable for the analysis of Service Events and Incidents to initiate and undertake Problem Management activities in order to continuously improve service provision.Accountable for the publication, scope and correctness of Knowledge Articles.Responsible for technical supervision of other staff during Incident resolution, and authorised to engage directly with application Suppliers.Accountable for gaining, holding and maintaining the competencies necessary to control and configure applications to enable the restoration of technical services.Collaborates with Service Designers.Responsible for ensuring service configuration processes and tools are applied so that service configuration records remain accurate, complete and current. Responsible for effective application of risk management processes.Responsible for the implementation of assigned Service Requests, for assessment and implementation of assigned Service Changes.

This post is liable for on-call support as part of a 24 hour support roster. There may be a need to provide telephone support or attend out of hours for service restoration, or to deploy service changes.
Qualifications & Skills

Knowledge and experience of Airspace Capacity Management methods and applications.Linux skills to administrator level is desirable Awareness of data centre technology/architecture and cyber security mitigation techniquesExperience of ServiceNow applications is desirableDegree in an Engineering or IT related discipline, and relevant experience in a safety or financial critical industry. Applicants who do not hold relevant qualification but have undertaken structured training and have extensive relevant experience will be considered.A good knowledge of ITIL Service Lifecycle Management practises.

UK Air Traffic Management is a safety critical environment, and part of Critical National Infrastructure, so you will be required to pass and hold SC level UK Security Clearance.
