Security Engineer

A leading specialist in secure communications is looking for a driven and proactive Security Engineer to join their expert team. This highly focused team develop the software applications in-house, the technology has been reviewed by third parties and has achieved FIPS, NATO and CPA accreditations.

This role would include assisting all security-related aspects of these developments, as well as continuing the worldwide roll-out of the current and new product ranges, influencing internal teams and external customers. It is important that the successful candidate brings hands-on experience of code, network and system level security.

Currently several product lines depend on an extensive infrastructure of server and network components, so I am looking for a highly competent, hands-on individual, that will complement the existing development and customer teams, defining and implementing all aspects of product and company security technologies and processes.

The right candidate must have a software background, able to work autonomously, bringing experience and knowledge from a security engineering role. In this position you will be required to perform security assessments, guide development practices, models and programmes and contribute security-related feedback to engineers throughout their development lifecycles.

It is essential that you have experience with manual secure code review in languages such as Java, Objective C, C++, etc, along with knowledge of authentication mechanisms like SAML, OAuth, etc. Familiarity with modern server technologies and architectures, including Docker and micro services is also a great knowledge to own.

It is required that the candidate must be eligible and willing to undertake, UK security clearance vetting.
