Role Purpose:
The job purpose is to work within the BIOS development team located in Lodz. You will be involved in the process of developing and maintaining firmware solutions for new and existing Fujitsu machines (Desktop and Server).
You will be a part of a team (7 engineers) within a fast growing R&D facility (200+ Engineers) located in Lodz with a focus on establishing a global R&D delivery department.
Responsibilities:
• Design, develop, and test firmware
• Use own initiative to fulfill incoming high-level descriptions of requirements based on hardware available on-site, or shipped in on an ad-hoc basis.
• Work in different phases of firmware development and various stages in the product lifecycle
• Creating technical documentations covering the implemented changes
• Drive to improve standards of quality for the produced firmware
Skills Required:
• Commercial experience with C and embedded firmware development
• Knowledge of hardware and systems troubleshooting methodology with BIOS/UEFI,
• Working experience with BIOS, and UEFI. X86 (Intel) architecture would be an advantage
• Knowledge of SVN and JIRA tools would also be an advantage
• Good English language skills
