Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Meteorology Training Delivery Instructor to join our skilled team. To deliver high quality meteorological and oceanographic forecaster training to Royal Naval and other military personnel, in line with World Meteorological Organisation, Plymouth University and Babcock International Group plc standards and contractual requirements.

About the role
Here at Babcock International we're looking to recruit a Meteorology Training Delivery Instructor to join our skilled team. To deliver high quality meteorological and oceanographic forecaster training to Royal Naval and other military personnel, in line with World Meteorological Organisation, Plymouth University and Babcock International Group plc standards and contractual requirements.
Day to day duties will include:
- Deliver Professional Training and Education in Meteorology and Oceanography (METOC) in accordance with the Learning Specifications (LSPECs) as required by the training programme.
- Deliver Instruction in METOC-relevant Mathematics and Science in accordance with LSPECs as required by the training programme.
- Undertake direct support tasks including preparatory work for training delivery activity, post delivery assessments and post delivery activities.
- Provide Subject Matter Expertise input into the Training design activities including Instructional and Assessment Specifications and low level media production.
- Undertake wider contract delivery and support tasks as deemed appropriate by the Training Delivery Team Leader (FOST HM).
- Maintain currency and SQEP in line with technical experience.
What do I need to do the role?
You'll need to have BSc or higher in Meteorology or Oceanography or equivalent.
Would also like you to have the following:
- Proven practical forecasting experience
- Ability to gain the appropriate Security Clearance
- Ideally, Level 4 Certificate or equivalent in Adult Education and Training but this can be gained once in post
- We are based in Devonport Dockyard
- Salary - £31,000
- 37 hours per week
