We specialise in partnership solutions, people skills and providing stability giving our clients powerful solutions and focused approach.

RPS are currently engaged with one of Central Government Department, They are currently delivering several vital work packages as part of an incredibly high-profile Business Change - EU Exit programme. 

To support this, the need for an experienced Project Manager has been identified to join and oversee a team.  

Duration: 3 month contract initially, with a view of extension 

Daily rate: £400- £575 Per Day, outside IR35

Start date: ASAP

Location: Westminster, London

Role Profile

We are looking for a Project Manager who can instigate a take on process for the projects that they are aligned to that will work through the following approach; Initial assessment, Expedited improvement and Execution of the project. You, as an ideal candidate will have experience within high impact Business change and transformation projects within the public sector (preferably Central Government) and preferably be Security Cleared.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Demonstrable experience of carrying out initial assessment and reviewing the existing project artefacts.
  • Demonstrable experience of creating action plans and reporting.
  • Experience of delivering effective leadership and management controls.
  • Experience of defining and implementing Future Operating Models (or Target Operating Models).
  • Significant stakeholder management experience to a senior level.
  • Demonstrable experience of governance and senior decision making.
  • Demonstrable experience of providing support, guidance and coaching for project teams.
  • Experience of implementation action plans to drive the project successfully.
  • Experience of managing the final closure of projects.
  • Demonstrable experience of driving multiple projects forward to successful delivery.
  • Broad understanding of Project Management methodologies and tools.
  • Outstanding communication skills – both written and verbal.

Desirable 

  • Prior experience for a consultancy.
  • Prior experience of working with Central Government functions.

Additional Information

  • The role will be based in London, full time, with some travel to UK wide locations.
