Role:

This DevOps Cloud Engineer Team Lead permanent role is a great opportunity to join an internationally recognised financial leader.

The company is looking to hire high calibre individuals to work on their roster of intriguing and challenging projects for their clients.

You will work closely with their client base and fellow colleagues to deliver a first class service across all projects.

As a Lead Engineer, you would report into the architect and product owners, whilst managing a team of up to 8 cloud engineers. You would lead by example, getting stuck in by creating and optimising the AWS CI environment.

Your day to day would include:

  • Designing and building infrastructure for multiple products
  • Configuring automated processes for increased efficiency
  • Managing AWS platforms
  • Contributing to Agile sprints and meetings
  • Researching and implement performance improvements
  • Be the example that the other engineer following

Key skills and experience:

  • Hold SC Clearance or be willing to undergo it
  • A strong understanding of the AWS environment (e.g. EC2, S3, Chef)
  • Worked in a continuous integration environment (e.g. Jenkins or Bamboo)
  • Utilised configuration tools (e.g. Puppet, Terraform, Ansible, Packer)
  • Great knowledge of networking (e.g. TCP/IP, Load Balancers, Firewall)
  • Operated in an Agile environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Led teams in the past
