IT Business Analyst

An IT Business Analyst is required by global organisation in their state-of-the-art Farnborough offices.

As the IT Business Analyst, you will understand goals and priorities for the global business, including a depth understanding of how the business functions, in order to elicit, validate, and document business requirements and processes, and develop business cases to achieve the Group business objectives, while maintaining alignment with the IT environment and strategy.

Essential Skills for the IT Business Analyst:

• Hold or be eligible for basic Security Clearance
• 7+ years' experience in a BA role within a large organisation
• Experience of working on IT projects in both Agile and waterfall
• 5+ years' experience within BA role or similar position within large cross-functional teams
• Skilled in requirements engineering, process modelling and developing business cases
• Experience of engaging and influencing stakeholders at all levels
• Batchelor's or Master's Degree in one of the following; business administration, computer science, information systems, or related field

Desirable Skills for the IT Business Analyst:

• Knowledge of the Defence Sector would be advantageous
• Ideally experience of working in a Six Sigma environment

Responsibilities for the IT Business Analyst include:

• Support the IT Business Systems Manager with responsibility for a section of the global business systems and communications between Group IT, The company, its Subsidiaries and International operations.
• Act as an interface between business units and IT to ensure the alignment between the delivery of IT solutions, capabilities, or other project work, and the operational and strategic goals and priorities of the business unit.
• Maintain an awareness of all planned IT projects, with a view to looking for potential benefits the business unit may gain from joint project participation.
• Understand the technologies consumed by the business and work with business process and data custodians to ensure that the technologies continue to deliver maximum business benefit.
