ILS Manager

An exciting opportunity has arisen with a world renowned defence company to join the ILS Department as an ILS Manager in Hertfordshire. This role would suit an experienced ILS Engineer from the defence industry or a current ILS Manager looking for a fresh start.

Job Description

The Role

• Manage and define the ILS work packages for a specified product to be delivered across a range of customers around the world
• Provide subject matter expertise to the projects on all ILS related matters.
• Liaise with the end customer related matters during the concept, assessment, development and initial delivery project phases, and be the customer voice to the project.
• Lead a team of specialists, ensure a supportable product, and develop & deliver effective and sustainable Support Solutions

Skills/Qualifications and Knowledge

• Ideally a technical/numeric degree and significant recent experience in ILS or engineering management
• A sound understanding of engineering processes and their application in development of support elements of the system
• Knowledge of UK & international ILS standards.
• Organisation and planning skills are a must.
• Highly developed verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong negotiating and influencing skills.
