About the job:

The client requires a Supplier Quality Technician to work with the supply chain, supporting their quality performance. This job includes:

*Support the delivery of Quality products on time and at the right cost.
*Drive prioritized supplier nonconformance management and root cause analysis
*Support supplier quality management in line with company control procedures, and relevant regulatory standards e.g.AS/EN 9100
*Ensure best practice is adopted within the supply chain to ensure highest levels of product integrity
*Visits supplier sites to observe quality systems and material manufacture processes.
*Analyses, tracks and reports discrepancies and corrective actions taken when vendor products are rejected/returned on receipt or fail post acceptance.
*Prepares documentation for inspection/testing procedures.
*Participates in First Article Inspections at suppliers and on-receipt
*Participates in Continuous Improvement Projects
*Manage the review of supplier generated FAI's and Grade 1 part control plans and amend MRP and VisualFAIR systems accordingly
*Manage compilation of FAIRs for internal assembly work to provide evidence of conformity of process and product.
*Work with Supplier Quality Engineers and Quality Engineering and their management to drive Quality Improvement

About You:

To be suitable for the Supplier Quality Technician job, you will have proven experience of working in a supply chain organization and previous experience as a supplier quality technician or supplier developer within a technology company (ideally mechanical/aerospace). You will need experience of driving root cause with suppliers and a thorough understanding of Quality tools and techniques. You will need an understanding of key aerospace Quality Standards such as AS/EN 9100, AS9102 and NADCAP as well as Supplier Relationship management and good technical engineering knowledge and ability to read engineering drawings.
