Cyber Security Specialist

 

The Candidate

 

We are seeking an experienced cyber security professional to support NATO Communication and Information Agency (NCIA). The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong IT background coupled with noteworthy experience around security architectures and in performing security testing. Well-versed in security mechanisms provided by commercial hardware and software products, they will understand how to leverage these providing mission assurance across the enterprise.

 

 

 

The role

 

Role responsibilities:

 

·         Analyse proposed system changes from a security perspective; 

 

·         Plan, prepare and conduct security tests, and report results;

 

·         Provide monthly reports on system security vulnerabilities;

 

·         Create and monitor implementation of change requests for maintaining system security posture;

The opportunity

 

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced cyber security professional to work within a business-critical role within a global defence organisation. The successful applicant will be responsible for helping shape and guide cyber security activities across the enterprise. The location of this role will be in Mons (Belgium) working directly for MCR, so would suit those already situated there or willing to relocate.

 

 

 

Minimum Requirements

 

·         Bachelor of Science degree in Security Engineering / Computer Science / Computer Engineering or closely related field;

 

·         Extensive experience in systems security engineering, evaluating system security architectures, and system changes;

 

·         Excellent knowledge of information assurance domains;

 

·         Excellent know of security mechanisms provided by operating systems, network devices, firewalls, and application hardware;

 

·         Must be fluent in the English language (reading, writing, listening and speaking);

 

·         Ability to obtain NATO Cosmic Top Secret Security Clearance;

 

·         Citizen of one of the 29 NATO member nations;

 

·         Must meet eligibility requirements to work and reside in The Netherlands;

 

 

 

Non-essential Requirements

 

·         Masters degree in Security Engineering / Computer Science / Computer Engineering or closely related field

 

·         A recognised credential in Information Assurance (e.g., CISSP) is highly desired;

 

·         Knowledge of Air Command and Control systems;

 

·         Prior experience of working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements

 

·         Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization, including ACO and ACT
