Role Responsibilities:
Provide design solutions primarily for the Reactor Protection Systems section through production of:
 
Electrical Control and Instrumentation

• Interpretation of manufacturers datasheets
• Circuit data capture
• Cubicle layout design
• Design Schemes (with appropriate support)
• Design Proposal Drawings
• Detail Drawings
• Fabrication Drawings
• General Assemblies
• Bills of Materials
• Input to Technical Specifications

 
 

• Take responsibility for delivery of work packages to programme, budget and required quality.
• Have some experience in applying relevant EH&S issues as required by legislation and applicable Directives.
• Verification and review experience.
• Production engineering experience desirable.
• Support at Designers Risk Assessments / Design Reviews.
• AutoCAD experience essential.
• AutoCAD Electrical working knowledge desirable, but not essential.
• Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Design Techniques working knowledge desirable but not essential.
• Autodesk Inventor working knowledge advantageous.
• Autodesk Vault working knowledge advantageous.
• Have a sound knowledge of fabrication techniques to support electrical designs.
• Have a sound knowledge of achievable manufacturing accuracy.
• Good knowledge of geometric tolerancing.
• Working knowledge of commonly used components, materials and standards.
• Ideally have some experience of formal change control.  
  

 
Role Qualifications & Requirements

• HNC/HND as a minimum with ideally extensive experience
• Prepared to travel and work at customer's sites and locations, when required

 
Location:
The base location for this role will be Radar Road, Leicester.
 
Security
Successful candidate must be able to achieve the appropriate security clearance level for this role.
