About the role

Here in Babcock International we're looking for a Junior Javascript Developer to join a development team based in Lichfield. Within the solutions team, you will deliver collaborative solutions for use by the entire UK defence maritime enterprise, with products including database applications through to big data and analytics.

Your primary focus will be development web based applications and the implementation of commercial off the shelf software. You will be developing Javascript web based applications where you will be translating requirements, conducting testing and ensuring code reuse and efficiency. You will have exposure to integrating COTS software as well as backend development using C#.

And as you're supporting our business we'll be supporting you. So as well as offering competitive benefits - you will be given the appropriate training to fulfil your role. You will be working alongside Senior Developers where you will be trained on new technologies. Babcock provide support to a range of marine projects so you will have the opportunity to grow and expand your skillset within the engineering industry.

What do I need to do the role?

You will need to have exposure to software development using technologies such as HTML, Javascript, JQuery, C#, Java or CSS. Exposure to libraries/frameworks such as Node, Express and Angular are desirable.

What else do I need to know about the role?

• You will work a 37.5 hour week Monday-Friday with flexible start and finish times
• All applicants must have or be able to obtain SC security clearance
