- The post will be part of the Logistics team and the key responsibilities will be to research, update and generate a key customs report for GE Wales, as well as support customs auditing activities. The report is required to be completed quarterly and there is a target date which must be met in order for the business to stay compliant to its AEO/IPR authorisation as well as UK Customs Legislation.
- Support the business's import / export compliance
- Pull together a regulatory report from multiple file sources - Excel being the core tool
- Carry out VLookUps of information pulled from the Support Central system, Business Objects, and SAP .csv downloads to match it to the report
- Enter necessary compliance data into the report to show how customs entries have been compliantly discharged from the business
- Develop relationships and processes with Freight Forwarders
- Develop key internal relationships to support researching status of items held under customs regimes
- Access and trawl documentation from the GE Libraries and GE Box to find export information and EASA certificates linking to components within the report
- Provide administrative support on all issues
- Support the AEO - Customs Accreditation
- Complete Audits of Customs Entries
- Effective written and verbal communication skills
- Computer literacy skills, strong experience and capability with Microsoft Excel, including Excel Functions is a requirement
