Infrastructure Support Engineer (x3) - DV Clearance required

LOCATION: London

DURATION: 12 Months Contract with the option for further contract renewals

DAILY RATE: Highly Competitive (dependent on candidate's level of experience)

Role / Project Information

Capita are keen to recruit x3 talented and highly motivated Infrastructure Support Engineers to support a number of infrastructure tools within our client's IT infrastructure e.g. SCCM, Splunk, etc.

Operating at 3rd line support level, you will be responsible for maintaining, tweaking, developing, upgrading and patching a wide range of tools as well as monitoring tools, performance tools, and asset management tools.

Other key responsibilities include:

  • Maintain and Support RDS Servers.
  • Meet SLA's set by the business and keep management up to date with progress.
  • Engage with third party suppliers and other key stakeholders.
  • Maintain architecture and deployment documentation.

    • In this role you will be required on occasion to work overtime, outside of normal office hours (overtime will be paid). We will also offer flexible working conditions.

    What are we looking for?

    It is essential for us to recruit a resource that has proven technical fault finding abilities as well as the willingness to pick up something they have not used before and learn it.

  • Good experience of working in an enterprise IT environment.
  • Good knowledge of systems architecture and a good understanding of Network, Server Infrastructure and application technologies.
  • Good knowledge of technical OSI and layer 2 technologies and realise the discovery capability spread over multiple protocols and technologies.
  • Strong analytical and modelling skills.
  • Strong Stakeholder management and communication skills.
  • Absorb new information and keep up to date with technology.

    • Desirable:

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office including MS Visio
  • Experience using IBM TSRM
  • ITIL Foundation Qualification
  • System Centre Configuration manager (SCCM)
