Fixed Term Contract (12 months) 

Part Time (20 hours)

A strategic alliance has been formed between Warwickshire Police and West Mercia Police in order to enable both forces to meet the challenge of reducing policing budgets. By working more closely together the forces will benefit from greater operational and organisational resilience, making us the fourth largest geographic police area in England and Wales. 

The main purpose of the role is to provide administrative support to the Harm Assessment Unit.    

Main Responsibilities:

To create and update records on PVP databases, ensuring records are not duplicated and records are linked where appropriate.

To prepare and dispatch standard letters and information packs as required

To complete referrals and liaise with external agencies in consultation with the Harm Assessment Unit Development Officers, ensuring all agencies have sufficient information to be able to assess the current risk

To ensure Domestic Abuse Stalking and Harassment forms are completed correctly, liaising with officers as required. 

Review new domestic abuse incidents, identifying high risk or complex cases and referring these to the Domestic Abuse Unit

Receive telephone calls and answer queries from internal staff or external agencies, or if appropriate, refer the caller to an appropriate person

Scan paperwork onto the PVP Database as required 

To undertake other duties commensurate with the nature, level of responsibility and grading of this post, as required.

Experience/Skills:

5 A-C Grade GCSEs (or equivalent) including Maths and English

RSA Stage II Word/Text Processing, or equivalent

Previous experience of completing administrative tasks within a team environment and prioritising workloads.

Good written communication skills.

Competent in the use of basic ICT applications such as email and word processing.

Able to enter information correctly using an appropriate computer system and retrieve and present information in a suitable format

Special Conditions

The duties of this post involve exposure to disturbing images or tasks. The Post holder will receive mandatory psychological assessments annually.
