Role Summary/Purpose:
    You will support the Material Planning & Fulfilment Leader and Operations teams to create and govern the master production schedule and is the interface to the Programs and Sourcing teams.
Essential Responsibilities:
    The Material Planning Lead will demonstrate accountability for functional, business, and broad company objectives. In this role, you will integrate and develop processes that meet business needs across the organization, manage complex issues within functional areas of expertise, be involved in both short and long-term planning, and contribute to the execution of the overall business strategy.
  • Follows the strategic direction that has been set by Material Planning & Fulfilment Leader for material operations within the organization.
  • Provide the framework for the creation and alignment of the Master Production Schedule to balance supply and demand
  • Facilitate the site S&OP process in line with Program requirements.
  • Coordinate New Product Introductions and Modifications
  • Optimize inventory reduction projects and report out on raw material, WIP and finished product stock
  • Lead and encourage process improvement through Lean Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Reviewing forecast load and capacity, working with business leaders to establish plans to ensure sufficient capacity is available to process the load through each work centre.
  • Maintain data quality and integrity within MPS/MRP including accurate outage dates, current inventory, purchase order receiving, and forecasts.
  • Establish effective performance measures that can be used to alert management on labour over run.
  • Assure the continued development and growth of assigned personnel through strong leadership.
  • Ensure all sites within portfolio are correctly set-up in a timely fashion to give the ability to procure all Parts, Service, and Repair needs using the MRP system.
  • Manage daily and long range planning / scheduling and support commercial team in quoting and managing of parts.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Demonstrable competence in supply chain management principles and practices, shop operations, facilitation and production control in a manufacturing environment and production planning essential
