Role Summary/Purpose:
    We are looking to recruit an Avionics Test Equipment Support Engineer who will be responsible for the maintenance, repair and improvements of our in-service production test equipment. Working as part of an integrated team you will work on the test solutions for a wide range of avionics products, ensuring we are able to meet our production demands.
Essential Responsibilities:
    • Utilise engineering and electrical fault finding experience to quickly diagnose issues with test solutions
    • Plan and implement the repair of test solutions in a timely manner to support production
    • Generate documentation updates, raise non conformances and corrective actions for changes to production test equipment
    • Support the liaison with external suppliers to ensure the delivery of appropriate solutions to the standards required
    • Liaise with internal stakeholders to ensure that new test solutions are designed and delivered with maintainability considered
    • Work collaboratively to address organizational initiatives
    • Present in technical and program reviews when required
    • Assure proper documentation of technical data generated for the assigned projects and/or tasks is consistent with engineering policies and procedures
Qualifications/Requirements:
    • HNC/HND in Engineering or equivalent knowledge and experience
    • Experience in fault finding and the interpretation of test results and diagnostics

Desired Characteristics:
    • Experience working in Aviation or other high integrity environment
    • Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously.
    • Willing to travel to external sites both domestically and internationally
    • Effective problem identification and solution skills
    • Strong oral and written communication skills.
    • Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
    • Working knowledge of equipment wiring standards, CE regulations and other engineering industry standards
    • An understanding of programming languages such as C, C++ and LabView to support integration activities working alongside software engineers
