Following a restructure, I am recruiting a Head of Quality and Inspections to work for a FTSE 250, global support services organisation. This role functions within their Emergency Services and Training business unit and is one of the UK's largest private sector providers of vocational and skills training, working in partnership with major employers across the Emergency Services, Engineering and Service sectors to help develop their people.
This is a national role with travel required across our UK wide operations to support the business in its preparation for inspection from the relevant inspection body (Ofsted / Estyn / ETINI).
This is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate who understands the new reformed apprenticeship market and can demonstrate a proven track record of preparing a business for an Ofsted inspection and acting as the nominee for a large scale inspection. You will be proactive to drive results and be able to work collaboratively with the other quality leads in each line of business responsible for apprenticeship delivery
Main purpose of role:
- Manage the internal quality cycle process. Including the development and monitoring of the Self-Assessment Report (SAR) and Quality Improvement Plan (QIP) in conjunction/collaboration with the individual lines of business quality teams.
- Ensure all improvement actions identified are implemented in line with the plan.
- Ofsted nominee for two separate training entities.
- Provide support to the bid teams to ensure new programmes offered adhere to the internal and external quality requirements.
- Coordinate the accreditation of all new and existing external quality kite-marks.
- Ensure all sub-contracted training provision meets the internal and external quality requirements.
- Ensure compliance with all internal and external procedures and quality measures.
- Comply with and promote Health, Safety & Environment, Equality, Diversity & Inclusion, and Welfare & Safeguarding Policies at all times.
Ideal requirements:
- Excellent understanding of the external inspection/self-assessment framework for apprenticeships including degree level apprenticeships.
- Experienced auditor from a large inspection body, or significant experience as a training provider nominee.
- · Experience of running OFSTED inspections (QAA / HEFCE / OFS also desirable).
- Comprehensive knowledge of the requirements for Equality, Diversity & Inclusion and Safeguarding, Prevent & Welfare
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading organisation and progress your career in an interesting environment. Please apply online or for more information please contact Gemma Rogan on 0117 9309 739 or
