Role Summary/Purpose:
    A newly created and exciting role within Supply Chain Leadership, we are seeking GEAPS Leaders within the Avionics and Civil Power Business Unit:
Essential Responsibilities:
    Role summary:
  • The G E Aviation Performance System (GEAPS) is the core operating system for all Business Units focussing on Standard work, operating Rhythms and KPI's and is core the operational success of the team. This is a key role within the business working cross-functionally to create and execute tactical and strategic actions for the business unit
  • This role is varied covering for team Facilitators where required but more importantly is the deputy to the Business Unit leader and should be considered as a progressive role for people who aspire to a senior role within the organisation
  • Ensure Compliance to Quality EHS and business procedures
  • Drive and own operational improvements to ensure successful execution of Business Unit targets Essential Responsibilities
  • Work cross-functionally to improve and achieve the GE Aviation Performance System(GEAPS) metrics for the business unit aligned to the site-wide strategy
  • Drive operational improvements to ensure successful long
    - term execution of EHS, Quality, Cost and Delivery targets within a Business Unit
  • Deputise for the Business Unit Leader on Supply Chain Leadership team, PCC (Production Control Centre) and all other activities as needed
  • Utilise six sigma tool kit to identify sources of variation and implement sustainable improvements to stabilise both manufacturing and transactional processes
  • Utilise lean tool kit to identify and eliminate sources of waste in both manufacturing and transactional processes.
  • Define, implement and review effectiveness of improvement actions using RCCA (root cause corrective action).
  • Utilise cost-benefit analysis to prioritise and coordinate various improvement actions& initiatives within a business unit.
  • Facilitate, train, and coach team members in the use of continuous improvement tools
  • Maintain a culture of compliance and integrity and promote the GE Beliefs and Performance Development within the teams
  • Support Business Unit Leader in the strategic development and planning of manpower, equipment and other resources to meet business demands
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college, or equivalent knowledge and experience in supply chain operations
  • Proven Strong interpersonal, coaching and GL52 8SF leadership skills
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Strong problem solving and organisational skills

Desired Characteristics:
  • Knowledge of the disciplines of manufacturing management such as production and inventory control, and standard cost systems
  • Prior experience with regulatory agencies and knowledge of requirements
  • Knowledge of GE products, processes, customer requirements and budgeting/financial processes
  • Ability to self-motivate and take the initiative to solve problems
  • Six Sigma / Continuous Improvement training is preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to bring assignments to a successful completion
  • Ability to anticipate customer needs and ensure that they are met
