Job Details

Primary purpose:
Operational role that will support the Technical Operations department in delivering Operational Excellence in the management and maintenance of the Babcock Aviation Offshore fleet.
Scope:
All bases within Babcock Aviation Offshore Technical Operations.
Major expected results or objectives within scope of the Technical Administrator or as assigned by Technical Director.
  • Efficient control of the authorisation processing and resource planning tools.
  • Management and control of the resource planners to support the Technical Operations management.
  • Administration duties to support an effective management team.
  • Support in building collaborative relationships with Technical, Operational, Commercial and Finance departments.
Contribute in promoting the Babcock Guiding Principles.
 
III. Areas of Accountability/Responsibility

Management of Absence Applications through the resource planner to assist in the rostering of staff

Organising and supporting the Technical staff On Site inductions.

Collation and issuing of monthly reports appertaining to overtime and contractor hours.

Liaising with Supply Chain for the provision of quotes and proposals.

Supporting Maintenance Management in the control of training and renewals.

Liaising with contract manpower agencies and collation of timesheets.

General admin duties including filing, organising travel, diary scheduling, taking and producing minutes for the Technical Management Team.

Supporting the departments recruitment strategy, organising interviews and offer letters.

Creating standard templates and forms and formatting documents

Supporting the compilation of the Technical Operations Key Performance Indicators

Ensure that they adhere to all HR policies and procedures as defined within the HR and Company Administration Manual.

Actively promote the BMCSOFF Safety Management and Occurrence Scheme through proactive, open and timely reporting. Reporting any incidence or occurrence that may affect flight safety, endanger persons or lead to an unsafe condition.

Knowledge, Skills, Experience, and Competencies required: Knowledge:
  • Knowledge of Microsoft based programmes and in particular Excel
  • Understanding of an aviation organisation structure (desirable)
Skills:
  • Effective communicator at all levels.
  • Highly organised and self-motivated.
  • Has a high level of integrity
 
Experience/Education:
  • Experience in aviation organisation (desirable)
  • General administrative duties in support of a management team.
Competencies:
  • Accurate data management including inputting and verification.
  • Able to plan and communicate.
  • Able to take and produce accurate minute meeting notes.
  • Able to communicate to internal and external parties.
