My Client are a large government department currently recruiting a Technical Lead to make significant contribution to a new and exciting Digital Transformation programme, which is bringing their business applications into the 21st century and driving efficiency forward by the use of technology.

This role seeks an experienced hands-on Technical Lead who will be responsible for management and technical delivery of

  • Infrastructure/Environments.

    • Secure gateways

    • Development environments (System Test, Integration test etc.)

  • 2 x Development teams

    • Front end web development with secure encryption

    • MS Dynamics configuration and .NET code.

Key Tasks and responsibilities: Work within an Agile Delivery team to perform the following tasks

  1. Support project manager deliver all aspect of technical delivery (Infrastructure/Development) of projects are delivered on time, within scope and within cost.

  2. Coordinating internal project resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.

  3. Work on a cross-functional project team and participate in shaping the technical direction to deliver fast and high system.

  4. Matrix line management of project teams, who are advanced and highly skilled Technical consultants and internal/external stakeholders, across several locations.

  5. Identifying and co-ordinating with suitable technical leads to ensure delivery elements are prioritised appropriately in support of the overall project goals.

  6. Developing and maintaining manpower plans for managers and staff involved and monitoring the deployment of individuals to ensure that they are contributing effectively.

  7. Leads planning, scheduling, controlling and reporting activities, ensuring that comprehensive project, quality, and risk plans are prepared and maintained.

  8. Ensures that realistic estimates of costs, timescales and resource requirements are agreed and carries out the monitoring of projects against these criteria, taking corrective action as necessary.

  9. Manages risk and ensures that any strategic problems are identified at the earliest opportunity and that solutions are identified and implemented, in line with change control processes.

  10. Lead the Scrum Ceremonies such as sprint planning, sprint retrospectives, and Show and Tell etc.

  11. Work with Project Manager and Product Owner to prioritise user stories.

  12. Produce accurate and timely project board updates, end of sprint reports, update the Trello boards etc.
