Role Summary/Purpose:
    To support the production ramp up Sustainment Eng has a vacancy for a Product Engineer to provide through-life design support to production and into service. You will be responsible for the resolution of technical queries, support to obsolescence, maintaining design adherence. The technical activities include but not limited to product investigations, design configuration, support to suppliers, updates to test specifications, first time yield through failure reporting and corrective actions.
Essential Responsibilities:
    As the Product Engineer you will utilize your experience and expertise to support the production of aviation products to satisfy our customer requirements. You will work within a cross functional team to resolve engineering and design issues to support our production products. You will own technical elements of product support, including root cause analysis and corrective action, design change, and obsolescence resolution.Key Activities:
  • Responsible for execution of design data including changes to supporting technical documentation, drawings, bills of materials, specifications, etc,
  • Providing engineering support to purchasing queries
  • Provide support to design and process improvements
  • Develop solutions to technical problems, including support to production, field repairs, and component obsolescence
  • Support the implementation of design changes resulting from FRACAS activities (Failure Reporting Analysis and Corrective Action System
  • Drive down the cost of production through the generation and execution of process improvement and material cost reduction initiatives
  • Support Product Introduction (NPI) knowledge transfer and process transfer to ensure product is ready for manufacturing & meets DFM
  • Ensuring compliance with mandatory regulations, standards and company processes
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Experience of working in a similar role and environment, not limited to aerospace
  • Experience of working in a design role
  • Strong design document & configuration knowledge
  • Product knowledge & Expertise with People Management Skills
  • Multi functional & Multi cultural Team Working

  • Demonstrated problem solving skills
