Our client, the Ministry of Defence, are seeking a Project Co-Ordintor, to join them at RAF Alconbury, Alconbury, Huntingdon PE28 4DA

Team: MOD//MOD Core//Defence Infrastructure Organisation//DIO EOM Management Group//EOM Operations

Initial contracts will run for 9 months and offer a rate up to £305/Day.

IR35 STATUS:  Inside IR35 legislation. Candidates would be required to operate through an umbrella company on this engagement.

This role requires Active SC clearance. Applicants require active SC clearance or the willingness to go through clearance before starting on site. Candidates with current clearance will be preferred.

Role Summary

  • Reporting to the C1 SEFM, the job holder shall monitor the delivery of Additional Work Services (AWS) to ensure such works are delivered to an acceptable standard in accordance with the Contract.
  • The job holder shall be expected to liaise with clients and with contractors to ensure that AWS delivery aligns with the clients' brief, complies with statutory and mandatory technical standards, provides suitable technical solutions and is delivered at a VFM price.
  • The job holder shall attend and participate in weekly site progress meetings and Infrastructure Community Monthly Meetings (ICMM)
  • Carry out Workflow actions in Maximo system
  • Check quality of design & construction deliverables
  • Challenge performance issues
  • Report progress to LM
  • Accountable to the relevant Project Manager
  • Developing; maintaining and documenting appropriate plans and controls for the project in line with the change lifecycle  Ensuring the appropriate governance disciplines are observed  
  • Reviewing project and supplier documentation and plans to highlight any issues that may compromise delivery  
  • Facilitating resolution of project issues and mitigation of project risks  
  • Maintaining project documentation  
  • Making a constructive contribution to project management processes  
  • Produce project documentation  
  • Manage issues; risks; dependencies; assumption and other controls
  • Arrange; prepare materials; facilitate; chair and document meetings
  • Monitor and report on progress  
  • Manage project resources including staff; contractors and spend  
  • Assure suppliers plans; project controls and progress reports  
  • Manage QA processes  
  • Demonstrate learnings achieved on the project  
  • Track record of successful delivery in an equivalent role with equivalent level of responsibility in complex IT application projects  
  • Knowledge of industry standard methods and tools


Candidate Requirements

  • Experience of working successfully with IT supplier staff and representatives from business teams to delivery new systems
  • Experience of working successfully in large; complex organisations


Candidate Eligibility
Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, this role will not offer Visa sponsorship. Tier 2 – General visas cannot be accepted.
