Role Summary/Purpose:
    Global responsibility for building & leading a multi-site analytics team that provides tools & data services designed to improve our customer experience & in-service performance of our Aviation systems products. Requires program management, data management and digital expertise as well as demonstrated virtual leadership capability, customer engagement and stakeholder / team relationship building.
Essential Responsibilities:
    Additionally, as the Sub-Section Manager, Key Responsibilities will include but are not limited to:
  • Team Leader
  • Responsible for all aspects of building and leading an engineering team (performance development, employee growth, …) driving efficient data collection and in-service product performance tools
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to support product support engineering teams, business goals and customer metrics (NFF rate, fleet disruption, guaranteed reliability, cost of ownership,…)
  • Program Management
  • Define and prioritize Product Support Analytics projects and manage on-time & quality deliveries from planning to implementation
  • Serve as Product Support Services representative on the Avionics Digital League Steering Group
  • Responsible for tracking, delivering and reporting on Business and IT milestones, using Agile program management techniques and self-service data concepts
  • Own risk mitigation, resource allocation, budget and communication plans for Analytics projects
  • Digital Roadmap
  • Drive the digital and predictive analytics strategy for Product Support Services and Life-Cycle FRACAS Teams
  • Identify, develop, and maintain tools to automate deliverables for the Aviation business
  • Define methodology and implementation plan for advanced predictive analytics tools and visualizations across all Engineering phases
  • Continuously evaluate opportunities for use of analytics tools and techniques that drive productivity improvements for GE Aviation Systems
  • Data Management
  • Application ownership of the global, product performance database (FRACAS tool)
  • Fitlists
    - Ownership of the business methodology to capture New Product Introduction platform detail and maintain part to platform fit detail
  • Recommended Spare Parts Lists (RSPLs)
    - Maintain models and deliver RSPLs, as requested
  • Reliability / In-Service Performance
    - Complete contractual, non-contractual, and ad-hoc data requirements
  • Adhere to departmental compliance, company policies and government regulations when managing and implementing data storage and digital strategy for the business
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Advanced Degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from an accredited university and demonstrated experience with statistical and analytical background.
  • Highly experienced in software development, database development, machine learning and analytics tool implementation.
  • Proven experience in Engineering and Technical Management, including managing multiple engineers.
  • Knowledge and understanding of the Aerospace industry or Aviation products.
  • Certified Scrum master with experience in working agile development environment.
  • Experience in developing and deploying predictive analytics and anomaly detection tools, including machine learning, and using data science techniques.
  • Ability to drive improvements in efficiency for multiple, concurrent projects.
  • Problem Solving - Ability to analyze, identify and develop solutions to problems using a wide range of data science,
  • Experience with Python, R, Matlab, Tableau, JMP, Spotfire.
  • Work as part of a cross-functional team to translate algorithms into commercially viable products and services.
  • Experience developing tool solutions to support contractual deliverables.
  • Knowledge of export control and/or government restrictions regarding data management or storage
