Seasonal Border Force Officer – Heathrow

We are seeking expressions of interest from motivated and enthusiastic individuals who have a previous Law Enforcement background in order to provide temporary cover to our front-line operations during peak periods.

LOCATIONS: We are seeking expressions of interest for Heathrow

As a seasonal Border Force officer, you will mainly be working on the passport control. Full training will be provided and must be passed before deployment.

Border Force operates 24 hours a day 365 day a year – these are shift working posts and these are set according to business need on an ad-hoc basis. You will be expected to make your own travel arrangements to and from your place of work, so you will be required to live within daily travel

Appointment Type: Fixed Term Appointment of up to 6 months.

Eligibility:

• British Citizen (and hold a current valid British passport).
• Been continuously resident in the UK for the past 5 years.
• Have previously worked at either:

Border Force Officer/Immigration Officer or Customs Officer – or above.

(previously substantive staff only)

UK Police Officer or above.

(substantive only - not open to Special Constabulary or civilian staff)

Military Officer level OF1 (Lieutenant) or above

(substantive only - not open to members of the Reserved forces - OF1 are Navy Sub-Lieutenant, Marines & Army Lieutenant, Air Force Flying Officer

Salary: £18 per hour.

Applicants may be asked to attend an interview and if selected will undergo a number of pre-employment and security checks – including security vetting to SC level.

Successful applicants will be expected to pass all relevant training and mentoring.
