Role Summary/Purpose:
    Preparation of proposals/bids, contract negotiation and compliance with contract commitments and commercial risk assessment.
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Lead all proposal activities, including the coordination of cross-functional inputs to receive, evaluate, plan, and execute proposals, ensuring compliance with guiding policies.
  • Ability to interface with both internal team members and external customers as part of solutions based sales approach.
  • Experience supporting complex customer negotiations.
  • Review and influence customer requirements and drive inclusion of key GE priorities into proposals.
  • Knowledge of GE deal factory processes, procedures, triggers and approvals.
  • Ability to coordinate several strategic proposals simultaneously.
  • Engage and build customer relationships; support the opportunity owner in negotiations with customers.
  • Lead efforts to enhance and automate processes and/or analytics tools for more timely and accurate information sharing and efficient proposal execution.
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Finance from an accredited university or college or equivalent.
  • High level experience working in commercial finance, commercial proposals, product/customer support or related functions supporting turbine products, i.e. wind, steam/gas turbines, aircraft engines.
  • Experience providing in depth financial analysis of complex, multi-P&L proposals, for new equipment and services and devising strategies to increase deal profitability and customer acceptability.
  • Experience in developing and negotiating long term customer service agreements.
  • Prior experience with customer specification review, proposal development, contract development and negotiations. Including equipment sales and consortium agreements.
  • Fluency in English and French.
  • Experience in the development and/or support of digital tools to improve data collection, reporting, and processing of commercial proposals and liabilities

Desired Characteristics:
  • Advanced degree in Engineering, Finance or related field.
  • Desire to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment.
  • Graduate of GE leadership program preferred: CAS, JOLP, XLP, OMLP, FMP.
  • Experience working in the GE Aviation deal factory.
