Role Summary/Purpose:
    Engineering associated with manufacturing processes. Positions requiring understanding of a concepts, methods and procedures. Act as a technical authority in a range of the production Cells disciplines and equipment; governance and technical sign-off, for any Operations programme changes. Be responsible for work packages and delivery against business milestones. Where applicable lead a small internal technical team. Rotational Shift work will be required.Permanent Swing Shift
Essential Responsibilities:
  • Primarily Manufacturing engineering tactical/Cell Support within the F35 program
  • Manage delivery plans with overall business awareness. Risk assessment and mitigation, with problem solving attributes. Has some autonomy in decision making
  • Lead & co-ordinate small projects. Write machine programmes, develop new methods and evolve processes. Defines new methods/tooling designs and defines/advises on local operating procedures
  • Interprets data and acts as technical authority for reports / data summaries. Recommends actions using Engineering knowledge and experience / judgement
  • Prepares and reviews procedures. Influences Design for Manufacture. Identify and implement the delivery of continuous improvement & the transfer of best practice
  • Represents ME function by attends such forums as Design for Assembly/Design for Manufacture events, and vising on Technical & commitment. Is trusted to deputise for more senior ME functional team when required
  • Actively adopts best practice and encourage sharing. Acts as local champion for a best practice identifying areas of adoption. Knows process capability & limitations
  • Can identify/evaluate improvement opportunities, a plan for delivery
    - and execution
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college HNC/HND or equivalent knowledge or proven experience in Production process and equipmentApplications from job seekers who require sponsorship to work in the UK are welcome and will be considered alongside all other applications.
