Role Summary/Purpose:
    Own the Sourcing Strategy for Electronics and Electro Mechanical Commodities , Civil & Military Programs, NPI and Supplier Relationship across Avionics & Power businesses of Aviation Systems for Cheltenham site in UK .
Essential Responsibilities:
    This is a senior position in the Avionics & Power Sourcing reporting to the Executive Sourcing Leader for Aviation Systems & the candidate would be required to demonstrate the following abilities:
  • Create and communicate product / program / NPI sourcing strategies, sourcing roadmaps, risks and recommendations to senior leaders (EB and SEB) across
  • Avionics & Power businesses
  • Regularly advise and influence management on complex decisions
  • Act as project leader in projects involving the business and other functions, specifically owning response to GE Aviation Systems wide initiatives
  • Drive Cross Functional SLT engagement across Programs, Operations and Engineering to deliver NPI execution , Growth playbook and Strategic Sourcing outcomes
  • Drive Engagement with the UK businesses through the tollgate and Source board processes to ensure alignment to the needs of the internal external customers
  • Drive accountability and execution for the UK Commodity Strategy in line with the Global Commodity Strategy , to meet the UK business requirementsLead a team of UK based site commodity leads to enable the following :
  • Multi Year Agreements with the major suppliers to achieve deflation targets with desired Quality , Fulfillment and Productivity requirements for the business
  • Ownership of UK deflation, BPA penetration >80% , DTP metrics , LCC ( Low Cost Country) Strategy
  • NPI Commodity Strategy
  • T&C negotiations working cross functionally
  • Contain inflation and allocate needs to specific suppliers
  • Planning & implementation of supplier transition with zero disruption to the site
  • Claims management with the suppliers
  • Commercial sourcing management such as data analysis , Negotiations support, Customer Proposals Support etc.
  • Full compliance in the sourcing process as required by the specific customer program flow downs
  • Develop and nurture the talent pipeline of current and future sourcing leadership
Qualifications/Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge and experience
