Resourcing Business Partner - Workforce Planning

Aldermaston

An exciting new position within the HR function has been created which will play a pivotal role in ensuring the continued effective delivery against business resourcing requirements both now and in the future.

Reporting into the Head of Resourcing, the post holder will be responsible for the development, management and reporting on effective short and long term workforce plans. This will require someone with exceptional communication skills, able to build relationships with a number of key stakeholders as well as challenging where appropriate and reporting back findings to senior managers.

Key responsibilities for the position will include;

  • Working closely with the PMO and pillar leads on the resource balancing stream of the company rolling wave processes, ensuring that all resource balancing activities are effectively managed and completed on schedule
  • Working closely with functional Resource Managers, pillar and function leads to ensure that we adequately resource the AWE Programme whilst managing short to medium term over and under supply challenges at a macro business level
  • Work effectively with Resource Managers and Resourcing Business Partners to ensure that functional resource deltas are agreed and match both short term recruitment and forward workforce plans
  • Develop and manage a process to monitor and report on resource and demand changes through the rolling wave process
  • Develop and manage effective medium to long term resource plans that reduce business reliance on contingent workers and the risk of future over or under supply of resources to the Programme
  • Develop systems, processes and reporting that improve resource balancing at a both a macro business and functional level, but also enable forward forecasting and resource balancing
  • Develop data and metrics that enable oversight of resource balances and forward workforce plans at a macro business and functional level
  • Adopt a continuous improvement mind-set, bringing a mixture of internal knowledge and external best practice to the resource balancing and forward workforce planning processes
  • As a member of the resourcing senior leadership team supports the delivery of the wider resourcing portfolio as required
