1st Line / Desktop Support Engineers
My client is a UK company who is listed on the London Stock Exchange and has been established for well over 30 years. They are looking for a 1st Line / Desktop Support Engineer to join their well-established team. The engineer will be expected to be flexible with regards to travel, we aim to keep each engineer from travelling any more than 1 hour from their base location. However, there may be circumstances where we will ask them to travel further. We will try to manage this as best as we can.
Key Responsibilities/Experience required:
- We require engineers with TSB/LBG experience or general branch banking experience.
- We require the engineer to troubleshoot and fix Thin-clients, cabling, KVMs/switchboxes, Banking peripherals: Chip & Pin, Passbook printers, voucher readers.
- We are also required to setup printers, power on, get the IP added by BT and get the user to test. Most of these have been done, but there may be a requirement to remove the Ricoh printers that are in use for LBG and put the HP printers in their place. This will be a small number of branches that have to do this.
- Engineers will need a good understanding of networking/patching. The current estate is setup using splitters, some fixes might involve removing these splitter cables and patching directly into the device/switch.
Training on this will be provided within each region as well as giving every engineer "How to" guides.
