Electronics Engineering Project Lead (Data Recorder)
An Electronics Engineering Project Leader is required for a long term contract assignment based in Stevenage to lead the design activities and delivery of a data recorder required to work in a rugged environment.
The role involves both technical and programme management of a multidisciplinary team. * Maintain schedule plan and manage associated budget for this project (£'s, people requirements & spend) to include Cost at Completion and Work Load Forecast exercises * Manage a multi-disciplinary team to deliver the work, making key decisions (technical and programme) as required, setting priorities for the team and driving progress * Provide and present, as required, regular progress reporting packs * Call in technical expertise as required from local Safety Systems and Telemetry expertise and the wider EE Technical Expert community to assist in making technical decisions * Liaise with support organisations as required to ensure delivery, including internal & external manufacturing organisations, quality, procurement etc.
Skills/Experience: To be suitable for this role, Individuals will be able to demonstrate a significant number of the following attributes: * Proven relevant electronics design experience, preferably for harsh environments (EMC, Vibration, thermal). * Proven ability to manage the development and delivery of defence related electronic equipment through all stages of the development process * Ideally degree qualified * Planning and organisation skills with a record of delivering to time and cost * Strong negotiating and influencing skills * Self-starter with drive, energy and enthusiasm and a clear focus on delivery and results.
