Testing Process Manager (SV&T) - £55,000

This is a permanent position and applicants must be eligible for SC clearance. You will be working across a large Government Programme.

The Service Validation and Testing (SV&T) process owner is accountable for the SV&T process and is responsible for managing compliance and identifying improvements to ensure that the process continues to be effective and efficient. The SV&T process owner also acts as the Account Test Manager defining and assuring test documentation for all Suppliers. Each process owner is assigned one or more ITIL processes and held accountable for the delivery of those processes. As a process owner within a Service Management Integrator (SIAM) team a key ingredient to success is winning the hearts and minds of the Supplier Process Managers and IT staff. Leading by example and fulfilling the SIAM activities in line with the agreed processes is critical to maintain credibility.

You will have experience in the implementation of SV&T processes and tools including Test Model Definition, Release Component Acquisition, Release Test, and Service Acceptance. You will have a track record in Service Management and possess strong conflict resolution skills. As an enthusiastic self-starter, you will have the ability to drive remedial actions and service improvement initiatives. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential along with the ability to work in an environment with evolving requirements and dynamic schedules.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Experience in the implementation of SV&T processes and tools including Test Model Definition, Release Component Acquisition, Release Test, and Service Acceptance
  • Demonstrable experience of working across the Systems Engineering lifecycle, influencing test activities and regimes
  • Provides clear direction and sets clear expectations to enable success
  • Experience handling difficult conversations
  • Ability to chair and manage governance meetings with senior staff
  • Ability to work in an environment with evolving requirements and dynamic schedules
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to develop and recommend solutions for problems/issues

Desirable Skills and Experience

  • Experience working in the Public sector would be beneficial
  • Experience using BMC Remedy for ITSM processes
  • Demonstrable experience in working with Test Tools (HP Performance Manager, Loadrunner, Quality Centre)
  • ITIL Foundation Certified
  • Previous experience as a Process Owner overseeing Test activities
  • SME knowledge of one or more of the ITIL processes
