Estates Surveyor, MOD, up to £428/day
Our client, the Ministry of Defence, are seeking a Estates Surveyor, to join them at Marlborough Lines, Monxton Road, Andover, SP11 8HJ

Initial contracts will run for 6 months and offer a rate up to £428/Day.
IR35 STATUS: Inside IR35 legislation. Candidates would be required to operate through an umbrella company on this engagement.

This role requires Active SC clearance. Applicants require active SC clearance or the willingness to go through clearance before starting on site. Candidates with current clearance will be preferred.
At the Defence Infrastructure Organisation (DIO) we are responsible for the management of the military estate. MOD is significantly reducing its estate and the purpose of this role is to bring forward a wide variety of different MOD sites for disposal to obtain best sale values for the public purse. You will need to have an understanding of commercial and residential development markets as sites will vary from complex residential development sites for several thousand homes to single Listed Buildings to brownfield sites in countryside locations. You will be required to lead on obtaining the best receipts from land releases, working with specialist DIO Colleagues, MOD contractors, private sector consultants and other stakeholders including the current users of the sites. Work will include areas such as deciding on boundaries, dealing with third party users, investigating re-development opportunities, obtaining planning consents, marketing and contract negotiations.

The ability to communicate confidently, write concisely and accurately with attention to detail is of paramount importance. The role also requires compliance with processes, regular reporting and data management.
- FULL MEMBERSHIP OF THE ROYAL INSTITUTION OF CHARTERED SURVEYORS OR A RELEVANT LAND MANAGEMENT DEGREE
- OR A MINIMUM OF 2 YEARS RELEVANT EXPERIENCE.
Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK, this role will not offer Visa sponsorship. Tier 2 – General visas cannot be accepted.
