Responsibilities/Accountability:

  • Input into the maintenance and update of quality procedures, standards and specifications
  • Monitoring the compliance and satisfaction of customer requirements for quality
  • Supporting Purchasing in the appropriate quality requirements for external suppliers
  • Ensuring that design, manufacturing, test and repair processes meet international and national standards
  • Participating in reviews aimed at increasing material resource efficiency and reducing waste
  • Monitoring and reporting the extent of Rework to SMT and supporting the implementation of remedial tasks
  • Assessing and communicating performance through the generation and submission of Quality trend reports
  • Monitoring the Quality resource forward load requirements and structuring the Quality department to ensure that the required level of SQEP support is provided into the business and the associated organisation is right sized and fit for purpose
  • Leading the recruitment of SQEP Quality staff when departmental requirements are identified
  • Ensuring that Quality staff training and development is provided at an appropriate level to all practitioners and as defined within the Departmental Training Plan
  • Supporting and participating in all customer acceptance activities and supporting the business in the resolution of all areas of non-conformance
  • Reviewing and approving project Quality Control Plans

Duties/Tasks:

  • Resourcing the Quality department to meet business needs
  • Deploying personnel in correct areas
  • Determining and reporting of relevant Quality KPIs
  • Supporting customer reviews and acceptance events
  • Ensuring active management of supplier Quality performance
