As part of a major change programme AWE are now looking to recruit a Deputy Resident Director at Coulport to manage the programme planning, operations delivery and safety case activities onsite.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced leader to support with the delivery of the outputs of the Programme. In this role you will be required to agree programme deliverables with the customer, ensuring that they are aligned with the commercial contract, to include identification and management of operational and commercial risks. This position requires strong leadership skills to drive team performance improvement, change, innovation as well as coaching and developing of the team. Working collaboratively with key stakeholders you will maximize the benefits of sharing best practice on a strategic level, ensuring the business is able to respond to change whilst providing guidance to the Exec team.

You will need to have exceptional influencing skills and be confident in your ability to manage TU consultations and negotiations.

In addition to the above, you will have:

  • Proven track record in a leadership position within a relevant regulated/quality focused manufacturing environment
  • Significant ESH skills and knowledge to enable you to lead, deploy and deliver improved ESH performance.
  • Experience in developing relevant Performance KPIs within different operating environments.
  • The ability to work at a strategic level and to assimilate and analyse information quickly in order to assess and debate complex issues at the highest level.

The site Coulport is twenty minutes' drive from Helensburgh.
