Cyber Programme Manager

My client, an international outsourcing supplier specialising in technology solutions for the financial services space, are actively looking for an experienced Cyber Programme Manager, to join their expanding team. The programme manager will be running this programme and the focus for 2018 will be:

  • Intrusion detection
  • Behavioural analysis
  • BitSight- 3rd Party assessement
  • SPAM reduction

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in planning the Development delivery of the multiple Cyber projects or programmes and proactively monitoring its progress, resolving issues and initiating appropriate corrective action.
  • Should have the ability to manage multiple streams of work or projects in parallel.
  • Following and participating in the project/programme's governance arrangements.
  • Experience and familiarity with Agile delivery model; Scrum Master experience would be extremely advantageous.
  • Ensuring effectiveness the overall integrity of the projects/programme - focusing inwardly on the internal consistency of the programme, and outwardly on its coherence with infrastructure planning, interfaces with other programmes and corporate, technical and specialist standards
  • Should be skilled in MS Project to manage tasks and dependencies
  • Ability to manage several 3rd party dependencies and deliverables.
  • Should be able to manage, report and model out the following: Impact analysis, Schedule variance, Scope variance and Resource & cost variance.
  • Financial Service experience would be preferred but is not essential.

The Programme Manager should have:

  • Effective leadership, interpersonal and communication skills
  • The ability to command respect and to create a sense of community amongst the members of the project teams
  • Good knowledge of techniques for planning, monitoring and controlling projects
  • Sound business case development and approvals skills
  • Good knowledge of project management methods like MSP, PRINCE2 or PMP
  • Good knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures
  • Sufficient seniority and credibility to advise project teams on their projects in relation to the project
  • The ability to find ways of solving or pre-empting problems
