MASS require a Project Manager to lead the delivery of projects for external customers ensuring cost, quality and time requirements are met.

The successful candidate will have circa 5 years PM experience in an IT and or security environment and will have:

  • Experience in Secure IT environments
  • Experience of running ICT integration projects in an educational or Local Authority environment including support phases (e.g. service desks and SLAs)
  • Management experience of medium – large ICT integration projects (£500k +)
  • Establishing and managing effective supplier relationships to obtain best value for money
  • Experience of working within a construction environment and of developing working relationships with construction teams
  • Communication and interpersonal skills sufficient to ensure the effective and cohesive functioning of a geographically distributed project team
  • A good track record of establishing and fostering strong client relationships with consequent strong customer satisfaction
  • An ability to report clearly on events both verbally and in written form
  • Experience of chairing meetings/presentations
  • A proven track record of constructing and maintaining practical delivery plans and schedules reflecting supplier and client needs
  • A very good working knowledge of Risk Management techniques
  • A general technical understanding of the project systems and processes
  • A good problem solving approach, coming up with solutions to issues within projects and with customers
  • Strong contract and contractor management skills; and
  • Possess a full driving license and be willing to travel

This role is within the Cyber Group and will have the opportunity to get involved in other Cyber related projects.

  Mandatory Skill Requirements:

  • Good understanding of information systems
  • MS Project and the MS Office suite of tools, and Visio
  • Knowledge of Project and Risk Management
  • Prince 2 Foundation (or equivalent)
  • Knowledge of the Education and local government markets
  • Good presentation and communications skills

Desirable Skill Requirements:

  • Prince 2 Practitioner
  • Knowledge of Management Information Systems

This role is for 37.5 hours per week Monday to Friday. The role can be based out of either our St Neots or Lincoln office, but with a minimum requirement to be at the Lincoln office of approximately 2 days per week.

The salary is £35,000 to £40,000 plus full company benefits.
