Customer Insight Analyst, City of Westminster, London - Contract

My client is one of the largest private (Employee Owned) companies in the UK and has been in business for around 150 years. They work across multiple sectors and are currently looking to take on a Customer Insight Analyst to join their well-established company.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Be passionate about customer insight and be able to demonstrate and convey a thorough understanding of the Partnership's customers; their behaviours, characteristics and relationship with the organisation
  • Develop a thorough and detailed understanding of the Partnership Customer Database (PCD) data model - table structures and data definitions; how the data was collected and its sufficiency and accuracy
  • Analyse project briefs and design and the most appropriate analysis approach to adopt for each project
  • Extract, prepare, analyse and interpret large data sets in order to undertake statistical evaluation
  • Apply the most appropriate statistical techniques to meet the business objectives for the project (such as segmentation, propensity and CHAID modelling, regression analysis etc.)
  • Ensure all analytical and statistical analyses undertaken are accurate, significant and robust
  • Convert statistical analyses and results into meaningful and relevant customer insights
  • Convert all customer analyses and insights into actionable recommendations that inform and support the commercial goals and objectives specified in the brief
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality presentations of findings and recommendations to key stakeholders ensuring these communications are tailored appropriately to the audience
  • Ensure all analyses, recommendations and presentations are produced to exacting quality standards and that appropriate quality checks and processes are in place and adhered to
  • Document all code and maintain accurate and up to date version controls
  • Undertake all necessary data and analysis housekeeping tasks such as maintaining the data dictionary, SQL and SAS code, etc
  • Ensure that all work complies with the Data Protection Act and that Partnership risk management, data security policies and methodologies are adhered to
  • Understand Divisional and Partnership stakeholders' commercial goals and objectives
  • Work with stakeholders to translate business questions and issues into customer insight and analytical briefs for clients to sign off
  • Agree achievable deadlines and milestones for analysis projects and manage expectations with respect to deliverables and timescales
  • Act as a day-to-day operational interface between the Divisions and GCI with respect to individual customer insight projects - a dedicated point of contact
  • Proactively communicate project progress to stakeholders and work with them to negotiate delivery expectations should problems or delays occur
  • Ensure all analysis-based recommendations are delivered within the context of the brief and the stakeholders' commercial goals
  • Deliver actionable recommendations and insights ensuring that all communications are tailored to individual stakeholders in order to maximise impact and effectiveness.
  • Ensure all deliverables are produced on-time and within budget as agreed with the stakeholders
  • Proactively identify and propose new customer analysis opportunities that will support Divisional goals and objectives
  • Support the Customer Insight Manager with short to mid-term resource planning
  • Research and develop industry best practice developments in customer insight and analytical techniques and where appropriate incorporate these in analysis projects
  • Liaise with Senior Reporting Analyst, Senior Modelling Analyst and Research Manager to ensure customer insight deliverables are informed with all available data and analyses (ie. 360 degree customer view)
