EXCLUSIVE OPPORTUNITY: Sopra Steria is currently recruiting for a Networks & Cryptographic Project Manager to join a new team, based on site at a key Government client in the South West of England. 

 

The team will be involved in providing a solution to deliver secure access to information services for users across various locations in the UK and overseas, providing a configurable network that has a single sign-on. 

 

This contract is for an initial six months, with the option to extend for at least another six beyond that. 

 

On client’s instructions, due to the urgency, nature and length of the assignment, the successful candidate must have current security clearance to a high level. 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES / ACCOUNTABILITY 

 

· Undertake requirements capture, including the translation of these into system requirements 

· Stakeholder liaison 

· Prepare documentation for release to industry including, but not limited to: 

o Industry Requests for Information (RFIs) 

o Invitation to Tender (ITT) documentation 

o Information for events such as industry days 

· Oversee the delivery and implementation of networks within the UK, including acting as a liaison between the client and Industry 

· Procure Networks and cryptographic Related Hardware, Software and associated licences based on Design. 

· Project manage the delivery of Build of IT/IS network and cryptographic elements in line with Design. 

· Liaise and work with other departments across the client in order to deliver Cryptographic Services and National Technical Authority for Cryptographic material. 

· Be skilled in Project Management Methodologies and Frameworks including: 

o PRINCE 2 

o APMP 

· Be skilled in Project Management Tools including: 

o Microsoft Project (Enterprise version) 

o Active Risk Manager (ARM) 

· Have a good understanding from a technical perspective of military deployed CIS and associated CIS Infrastructure 

· Have proven experience of Managing IS/IT Project Delivery, including to the UK Military 

· Have proven experience of working within the Defence sector as a Project Manager for the delivery of IS/IT 

· Ensure that Quality is assured through rigorous application of Time, Cost and Performance measures in conjunction with the Programme Manager. 

· Provide cost modelling and, in particular, forecasting 

· Ensure that the safety requirements associated with the Project are legally adhered to 

· Ensure the accuracy and currency of Project Artefacts 

· Other activity as directed by the Programme Manager
