BLS is currently looking to appoint an experienced Training Instructional Designer to work from Reading supporting our Babcock BMW Academy Training Partnership with a range of training and development programmes for all levels of employees and Milton Keynes thereafter.
The Instructional Designer role will be responsible for the design and development of high quality, interactive training interventions through a blended learning approach including:

  • Classroom based training between face to face and eLearning
  • eLearning
Major Tasks and Activities:

  • Design, develop and update course content and learning solutions.
  • Work with Subject Matter Experts to produce high quality and effective training materials to enhance the learning experience for all learning styles.
  • Create aims with measurable objectives that match the course content.
  • Create accurate storyboards and communicate relevant and timely information to the stakeholders and out shared services CBT team.
  • Revise and re-write existing course content
  • Create performance and assessment tools.
  • Review assessment documentation to ensure that it reflects current training objectives and update where necessary.
  • Achieve performance targets and KPIs.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Formal Instructional design qualification with strong proven experience.
  • Proven experience of producing effective training materials, (e.g. eLearning, trainer guides & lesson plans)
  • Knowledge of course development methods (e.g. ADDIE, Blooms Taxonomy and objective writing).
  • Experience with eLearning development and authoring tools would be advantageous.
  • Computer literate and proficient in use of MS Office applications.
  • Working as part of the team engaged on various projects.
  • Good communication skills
  • Able to build and maintain working relationships with colleagues, clients and stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage own work load.
  • Working in a complex and diverse training environment.

37.5 hours per week (Mon-Fri)
