Purpose of role: Systems Administrator Managing learner tablets and FUSE

Person specification

  • To organise and arrange the ordering and distribution of IT devices used in Babcock Apprenticeship Learning
  • To Set Up Android Tablet devices for the use by Apprentice Learners, Asset Tracking of these said devices
  • Support and Maintain the set-up and delivery of Stand Alone IT devices that sit outside the corporate IT network and control. Occasionally working at customer off sites, to administrate these items
  • Support and Maintain the setup of users, user groups, folders permissions, libraries permissions, web pages and site permissions of Babcock Automotive SharePoint site
  • Support the development and moderation of the FUSE learning platform
  • To understand and promote the Information Assurance Maturity Model (IAMM) that is adhered to within Babcock International
  • Participation in Education &Training wide IAO meetings on a quarterly afterwards
  • To be the point of contact for their part of the business as regards being an Information Assurance champion, to disseminate to the business area information around the use and storage of critical information assets and how they are to be controlled
  • To report any issues and concerns to the lead Automotive Information Assurance Owner

  • Full and Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Package
  • Advance Knowledge and use of Microsoft Excel
  • Understanding and Knowledge of Microsoft SharePoint, working with file permissions, user groups and libraries
  • Managing Data within customised Database Applications
  • Knowledge and Understanding of Personal and Sensitive Data
  • Knowledge and Understanding of the Data Protection Act and the upcoming General Data Protection Regulations (GDPR)

  • GCSE In Maths and English C or above
  • GCSE in ICT Grade B or Higher
  • Formal Training Application and Business system support
