We are looking for Engineers and Consultants at all levels to work on a variety of complex projects across the Defence, Nuclear and Power sectors. More senior candidates will ideally have a Consultancy background with project management and business development capabilities.
The focus of this role is to specify and develop mathematical models of physical systems. A wide range of application areas are anticipated behaviour.

The role will involve supporting projects from initiation to delivery, including:

Liaising with clients to define requirements for models and analysis
The design and development of mathematical models and software solutions
Running models developed for analysis and understanding the impact of the outputs in the context of the client's organisation
Verification and validation of models
Delivering models or results from models to clients' requirements.

You will have a strong understanding of engineering principles. Experience of mathematical model development is required; in a Matlab/Simulink environment is desirable, and similar experience in other contexts may be considered.

Degree qualification:
You will possess a good degree in Engineering or Engineering Mathematics, and have demonstrated mathematical modelling aptitude and capability as part of your project work or through other experience; or,
You will possess a good degree in Mathematics or a Science subject and have subsequently applied mathematical modelling to an engineering or related discipline.

This opportunity is open to recent graduates however the following additional skills or experience are also beneficial:

Post-graduate research experience in mathematical modelling topics relevant to engineering;
Modelling and/or control of dynamical systems;
Operational modelling and/or operational research;
Supportability modelling;
Software engineering

Due to the nature of work undertaken at our client's site, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to sole British Citizens. Applicants who meet this criteria will also be required to undergo security clearance vetting, if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level.

This is a permanent position.
