Main purpose of the role
To provide expert advice and guidance to the Constabulary on the application of conditions of service and other human resource matters in adherence with current employment legislation and best practice.
Manage a number of employee relations cases, providing advice and guidance on conditions of service and employment matters for staff and officers
Develop and implement Constabulary Policies ensuring appropriate research and consultation takes place and each new or updated policy has a tailored communications plan.
Analyse changes and updates in employment legislation and implement into Constabulary policy and procedures ensuring our practices are legally sound.
Research human resource issues as appropriate and consider the impact on the Constabulary providing updates and presentations as required.
Coach managers to improve their self-sufficiency in managing staffing issues.
Work with the HR Service Team to ensure policies and processes are effective and operate in a efficient and customer focused way.
Advise managers on the application of best practice, in supporting effective staff performance
