Fibre Network Planner - Diversion Works

Our client who are one of the UK's leading telecommunication companies are looking for a Fibre Network Planner to join their teams based in either Birmingham or Manchester on an initial 6 month contract.

The ideal Fibre Network Planner will have previous experience of diversionary work and site closures along with fibre outages.

Role Purpose

Responsible for the Fundamental and detail planning of the Network Fibre Layer to support Customer Delivery, Core Project Build, Assure and Diversionary Works requirements

Functional and Technical competences

  • Effective communication skills - both written and verbal
  • Competent user of Microsoft Office Packages (outlook, excel & word)
  • Proven experience of Auto cad (or other GIS software)
  • Proven understanding of telephony distribution systems
  • Proven understanding of Wayleaves and Easements.
  • Proven understanding of the Telecommunications code
  • Proven understanding of civils construction practice and regulations (NRSWA)
  • Proven understanding of CDM & relevant H&S regulations
  • Proven understanding of Diversionary Works COP
