SC Cleared Project Manager - Telecoms - Out of Hours

Our client who are one of the UK's leading telecommunications companies are looking for an SC Cleared Project Manager to cover the out of hours WAN/LAN transitions based in London. This role with be an initial 3 month contract.

Role Purpose

The SC Cleared Project Manager will be required to cover out of hour transitions from 4pm to 10pm taking over from the Day Shift.

Responsibilities include:

  • Working and reporting into WAN/LAN Transition Control Project Managers
  • Liaising closely with the Scheduling team, Deployment Managers, incumbent suppliers and the clients suppliers
  • Manage on a daily basis via a Control Bridge either a series of WAN Transitions, LAN Refreshes, LAN "Collapses" (on multi-Domain sites)
  • Run the Day 0 Checkpoint process for each Transition - go/no-go, progress points, roll-back decisions (if required) and site acceptance
  • Assist in maintaining and developing the processes required to run the Control Bridges.
  • Communicate the outcome of the Transitional activities on a daily basis to all interested parties.
  • Manage the handover of the transitioned services into Operate.
  • Record any snagging issues identified during Transitions as part of the Aftercare responsibilities and assist Deployment managers with their resolution as required.

Skills required

  • Prince2 Practitioner
  • Proven ability to build relationships and influence at all levels internally and externally, including excellent collaborative customer and supplier facing skills
  • Understanding and experience of working in a telecommunications environment
