The post holder will be accountable for:
* The timely and accurate processing of WPDS submitted by the Programmes Team, keeping the Manufacturing Manager, Programme/Project Managers appraised of delivery schedule and performance against budget.
The post holder candidate will be responsible for:
* Running PMR and raising requisitions to support required manufacturing and/or repair activity.
* Raising Manufacturing Orders to support hardware build and test activities.
* Instigating the kitting of parts to ensure a continuous flow of work to the Shop Floor.

On release of Contract or Sales Order initiate survey for repairs and initiate manufacture for new build items based on requirement of submitted WPDS. This includes:
* Running the daily production and/or repair stand-ups for the allocated WPDS in work on the Shop Floor.
* Ensuring that the allocated hours on WPDS are achievable, resolving with PMs wherever this is not the case.
* Identifying long lead items and arrange timely procurement.
* Ensuring that materials are available in time to achieve output forecasts whilst avoiding excessive surpluses.
* Review WPDS for correct build standard and relevant RDC's.
* Using the MRP system to ensure route card routings are correct and load in timely manner.
* Initiating and tracking the progress of kitting to keep the Shop Floor fully loaded, prioritising as appropriate.
* Highlighting any potential risks to output schedule or budget to the Head of Manufacturing and the relevant PMs, proposing mitigation action wherever possible.
* Implement the design changes during the production process ensuring that they are detailed on the relevant route cards.
* Monitoring and recording all pertinent data required by the contract to ensure full traceability and correct build standard is achieved.
* Liaising with Commercial, Design, Manufacturing Engineer, DO. Purchasing, QA, as necessary.
* Producing planning, forecasting, progress and project reports, as required.
* Engaging directly with Programmes and Engineering on any issues that are impeding the progress of manufacturing activity.
* Attending project and progress meetings as required.
* Where tasked, providing support to the roll-out of a new MRP system.
* Where tasked, running the MRP or related systems
