About the role
The position of Submarines Portfolio Office (SPO) Team Leader is a high profile, critical link in the delivery and management of one of Defence’s most important and complex portfolios. It offers great interest, intellectual challenge and opportunity for development and progression. In this diverse and dynamic role, you will utilise your strong leadership experience and extensive stakeholder management skills to lead the control and analysis of the submarines portfolio and make a positive impact on its delivery.
You will responsible for directing and integrating all aspects of earned value management, cost management/estimating, scheduling and risk management. The role has a very significant impact on achievement of corporate objectives, regularly providing advice to senior people on complex strategic issues so excellent influencing and relationship management skills are vital.

What we’re looking for
To succeed in the role, you will be an experienced project controller and/or portfolio manager with a proven ability to define, tailor, source and analyse high quality management information. You will be a strong and resilient leader who has delivered within a similar role in a complex environment. You will also be able to negotiate, influence and deliver both locally and at the most senior levels.
