About the role
In line with the increasing workload and the ever pertinent aspiration to drive greater rigour and consistency within our Project Controls domain, we are seeking to increase our planning capability by appointing a number of Project Schedulers to support the planning process and the scheduling of increasingly complex projects.
As a DE&S project scheduler, you will work as a key member of the project team developing the forward plan to enable the successful delivery of the project. This will involve working hand in glove with colleagues across the project team and our industrial suppliers to define and agree how the project will be structured and delivered. Your output will form the schedule baseline – a key anchor against which you will manage subsequent project performance and any potential changes that occur on the delivery journey. Your work will require you to think ahead out on a rolling wave of 3 months, 6 months and 12 months as we plan in detail for the short term within the context of what needs to be delivered overall.
What we’re looking for
Successful candidates will have demonstrable experience of working in Planning/Schedule development including performing, monitoring and reviewing planning and scheduling functions to include control and analysis. The role requires scheduling-specific knowledge equivalent to a Technical or Business degree.
APM PQ qualification is disreable.
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail, proven team working capability, reliability and the self-drive to proactively address and resolve issues are all traits needed to be effective in these roles.
A demonstrated skill in identifying, analysing, and providing innovative solutions to planning and scheduling problems would be beneficial.
What we offer
When you join DE&S, you will be part of a first-class and inspiring organisation that provides you with excellent opportunities to develop and acquire many new skills, whether through training for continued personal development or working towards professional qualifications. We have created an environment where you can look forward to coming to work and be empowered to be at your best. We offer flexibility in how you work that helps you do your job in a way that suits you, alongside a first rate benefits package including a pension scheme that is unrivalled in the current marketplace.
