*IT Support Engineer - up to £35,000 (DOE) per annum - Vauxhall*

We have an exciting opportunity for a Desktop Support Engineer looking to take there next step in this arena. This is a great role for someone who wants to join a supportive company and receive a large amount of exposure in a broad range of client/ server and cloud networking, allowing you to develop your skillset and move into areas of preferred expertise.

I am currently working on behalf on a company based in Vauxhall who offer a full range of IT Support Services for their clients in London - these clients range from high-end single users to universities. The successful candidate will join the friendly technical team and carry out support via phone, remote sessions and on-site work. This will include: general support, back up, maintenance & monitoring and project work activities. It is very important for the job holder to have exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal and strong problem solving skills.

General responsibilities:
*Desktop support, configuration and maintenance
*Phone, remote session and on-site helpdesk support
*Upgrades, imaging, configuration, backup and endpoint security
*Keeping accurate records of work completed and collaboration with the team
*Occasional evening and weekend work may be required out of hour
*Hardware support and installation

Essential skills and experience:
*Experience in deploying, configuring and maintaining various Desktop Operating Systems.
*Diagnostic experience, with the ability to recognise and resolve common issues in desktops, mobile devices, tablets and peripherals.
*Troubleshooting various standard office productivity software. Such as: Microsoft Office and Office 365
*Strong communication skills, with the ability to gather information and give clear explanations to clients
*Previous client-facing field experience, including installation and troubleshooting
*An understanding of security fundamentals

Desirable skills and experience:
*A working knowledge of network routing, switching and firewalls
*Experience with the Cisco Meraki suite of products
*Experience with N-Able or Autotask
*Administration of Active Directory objects, permissions and group policy
*A working knowledge of corporate network security and advanced security principles
*Experience planning and carrying out small/medium sized ICT projects
*Experience with Windows Server, Microsoft Hyper-V and Azure
